As March moves forward, it gives us that desire to get back on the water in our boats.  It’s tough to be outside without wanting to power up the boat motors or set sail.  Lea and I spent the weekend at Green Turtle Bay and in 60 degree weather, it was hard to stay at the dock. On Saturday, February 25 th , our Club sponsored an educational class for a local Boy Scout Troup that will be sailing off the Keys in Florida in May.  Suzy Picking taught the Basics of Sailing and Sam Richey taught the Scouts about Marine Radio.  I was able to  attend a             portion of class and certainly learned a lot.  We have outstanding talent in our Club – skills of boating/sailing taught in an entertaining way that kept the Boy Scouts attentive and eager to learn.  THANK YOU TO SUZY AND SAM!!  Take time to look at the photos in the next column.  Thanks to Sam and Linda for taking them. Give thought to what boating education you need, talk to your friends and neighbors about boating education and what their needs are.  Please contact Janice Elwood with your thoughts – Janice.Elwood@gmail.com or (812) 205-6153.  We have instructors ready to teach! I hope to see you at our March meeting! Commander Tim
